Swiping Right for the Plot
I have three more months in the UK left and I had this sudden realisation that when I return home I will be surrounded by the same type of people I have always been surrounded by.
Which is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, I am looking forward to returning to my home community.
However, when it comes to dating, I CLEARLY have a type.
I was having brunch with one of my beautiful friends and she told me about how when she first arrived in the UK she went on so many dates that they no longer scared her, and they were a lot of fun.
My response was that I am open to dating, but I dislike dating apps.
I dislike trawling through people, getting lost in analysing who they are based on sentences they have decided to string together into a profile for others to view, and reading the thousands of unspoken words a picture (and the choice of that particular picture) says about a person.
