I have heard the comments,

The passive aggressive remarks,

The presumptive perceptions.

Whilst they are uncommon and people are generally respectful and wonderful, for those who are not - it is not without impact.

Disappointed more than anything

Especially if it is from one of the girls.

If it is someone I know.

If it is a family member.

Having a platform where I speak honestly and openly about what I experience, what I think and especially how I feel (particularly around traditionally taboo topics such as sex and self-pleasure) provides a skewed insight into who I am.

Because people only see what I share.

Without all the pieces, or the ability to critical analyse and put them together, the wisdom to hold them lightly knowing there are some still missing, and the discernment to unpack what are my pieces and what are from their own puzzle, one cannot ever truly fathom what they know or do not know about me.

Let’s be real - even I do not always have all my own pieces.
